Mrs. Alabama America crowned
Mrs. America 2016
Wow! What an honor it was to represent the state of Alabama as Miss Alabama USA in 2011, and now I have been given another opportunity as Mrs. Alabama America 2015! There is no other state I
would be more honored to represent than the beautiful state where I was born and raised.
I am a small town girl who loves sweet tea and casting a fishing rod. I believe in myself and have a passion for helping others do the same.
In 2008, I was involved in a near fatal car accident and was told I would never walk again. I made the decision, at that very moment, to prove all of my doctors wrong, to persevere and to, indeed, walk
again. I realized that this was a rare and extraordinary opportunity to prove to others that with hard work, determination, and optimism anything is possible. I had a remarkable story to share with the
world and as soon as I recovered, I began sharing my story by speaking in schools on the importance of never giving up on your dreams, no matter what obstacles come your way. In fact, I am living
proof of this. In 2010, I won the title of Miss Alabama USA and went on to represent my state at the Miss USA Pageant where I was named 2nd runner up.
Being a wife and a mother is wonderful to say the least, and I enjoy every second I spend with my family. I come from a large family full of love, and I plan to expand my own family in the future. My
husband and I do almost everything together. We enjoy staying healthy, working out, fishing, horseback riding, and lazy Sunday’s. Sunday is our favorite day out of the week because it is a big family
day for us.
As the new Mrs. Alabama America, I plan to focus on encouraging and inspiring our future generation of young women to stay strong and to never give up on the dreams or goals they have no matter
what obstacles come their way. I plan to tell my story, and hopefully empower as many people as I possibly can throughout my year and continue long afterward! Please continue to follow me throughout
my reign, and as I prepare to compete for the title of Mrs. America.
